Outside Event: The Data Mine Guest Speaker Series – Dr. Ruhi Sharmin

Join us virtually on Friday, April 17 from 1:20-2:30 pm EST for our Guest Speaker Series with Dr. Ruhi Sharmin.
Dr. Sharmin is a postdoctoral researcher in the Kelleher Lab at Purdue University and has been conducting impactful research on neuroscience. Her research endeavor includes analysis of physiological signals to understand cognitive correlation. She earned her B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from BUET, post-baccalaureate in Regulatory Affairs and Regulatory Science for Medical Devices and Ph.D. on biocomputing (quantitative analysis of bio-signals) from the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University. Her work focuses on biomedical signal and image processing, with vast expertise on multi-modal clinical data: PPG, US, MRI, and machine learning with computer vision focus for physiological signals. Currently, She works in multiple NIH-funded projects analyzing EEG and heart rate information from children with congenital Zika syndrome.
