Outside Event: Training For Space
November 6 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The Amelia Earhart Leadership for Space Careers program would like to invite The Data Mine community to join us as we welcome Purdue grad, Dr. Alexandra Kemp, back to the West Lafayette campus to discuss her career and current commercial astronaut training. The event, “Training for Space,” is part of the program’s “Lightning Leadership” series and takes place on Thursday, Nov. 6th, from 6:00 – 7:00 PM in Honors Hall (Honors College and Residences, North/Lee-Such Tower.)
Kemp’s Ph.D. is in Technology with an emphasis in Aerospace Human Factors. She is a commercial astronaut in training and currently is an Advanced Human Factors Systems Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies in Phoenix, Arizona. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Space Human Factors at ERAU Worldwide. Dr. Kemp was a Space Careers Program Liaison in 2022-2023 (our program’s first year!)
We hope to see you there!
