Dr. Matheus R. Benatti holds a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from Purdue University (2010) and a B.S. in Agronomic Engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil (2002). With a strong foundation in science and engineering, he has built a distinguished career at the intersection of biotechnology, operations, and strategic leadership.

He is the founder and CEO of Leap2Bio Solutions LLC, where he delivers tailored business and operational solutions that drive sustainable growth and client success for biotechnology companies. With a multidisciplinary background in molecular biology, operations management, and quality assurance, Dr. Benatti has built and led high-performing teams, driving successful project execution across diverse domains.

Throughout his career, he has spearheaded initiatives to optimize laboratory efficiency, implement robust quality management systems, and streamline operations—resulting in significant cost savings and accelerated turnaround times. In previous roles, he successfully expanded genetic testing capabilities and enhanced DNA testing sensitivity, advancing both scientific outcomes and operational performance.

Dr. Benatti is a published researcher and an active member of several professional organizations, including the National Association for Plant Breeding (NAPB). Within NAPB, he contributes as a member of both the Borlaug Scholars Scholarship Committee and the Mentoring Subcommittee, and actively supports the program’s mission by serving as a fundraiser for the Borlaug Scholars Scholarship Program.

He is passionate about team building, continuous improvement, and cultivating long-term client partnerships.
