Join the Purdue Women’s Network for the February installment of our virtual Cocktails and Conversation series, featuring Virginia Jacko (MS HHS’75), president and CEO of Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired, president of Florida Heiken Children’s Vision Program, and founding president of Miami Lighthouse Academy.

Jacko will share the pivotal moments and core principles that helped her rebuild her career and life after becoming blind. Previously an executive at Purdue, Jacko has transformed Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired into a nationally recognized organization serving more than 28,000 participants annually and earning a 4-star Charity Navigator rating for 14 consecutive years. Jacko has led groundbreaking initiatives in early childhood education, statewide children’s eye care, and advanced research on cortical visual impairment.
