Outside Event: Finding Home and Purpose: Journey Through Life and Research at Purdue

Visit the AAARCC (915 5th St.) on Thursday, March 13 from noon to 1pm for the AAARCC’s weekly Lunch & Learn event. Susmita Ghosh, Ph.D. Candidate in Nutrition Science, will present her project “Finding Home and Purpose: Journey Through Life and Research at Purdue.”

 

Explore the intersections of identity, community, and impactful nutrition research to engage in a meaningful conversation about diversity and resilience.

 

Susmita will share her journey as an international graduate student living at Purdue University and navigating life in the USA. Her reflections on the challenges and triumphs she has experienced explore how her cultural identity shaped her sense of belonging, purpose, and research. She will provide insights into her research on child nutrition and development in low-resource settings and reflect how her personal experiences have influenced her academic work.
