Responsibilities:

  • Seminar (TDM 10100-10200/20100-20200/30100-30200/40100-40200/50100) TA: Seminar TAs will be responsible for attending weekly meetings with a specialized team that may include such tasks as grading students’ projects each week, holding weekly office hours for students, answering online questions, and/or assisting with project solutions.  TAs are also encouraged to attend Seminar each week.
  • Corporate Partners TA – Project Lead: Corporate Partners TAs will be the Project Manager for one of our experiential learning teams. Responsibilities include attending two meetings per week with their team, using Agile methodology to lead students through their work, serving as the primary communicator to the company’s mentor(s), grading weekly student reports, and holding weekly office hours for students. 
  • The Portfolio Teaching Assistant (PTA) will support TDM Labs by overseeing lab operations and ensuring smooth project execution. This role includes monitoring progress, identifying roadblocks, and providing updates to the TDM CRP liaison. The PTA will assist TAs and students in the lab, help improve Agile practices, offer technical support by connecting students with the TDM data science team, and recommend tools and resources to enhance project outcomes. Additional responsibilities include ensuring access to classrooms and OWL machines, providing feedback to TAs, and supporting TDM staff in maintaining efficient lab operations.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in data science or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Prior experience with a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Students must have a 3.00 GPA to apply and must maintain the GPA for a TA position.
